Yishun 10 opened in 1992 as Singapore’s initial cinema multiplex. The development houses a 1,477-seat Golden Village cineplex, along with 10 ground-floor strata retail units and a basement carpark. It is located beside Northpoint City, which is owned by Frasers Centrepoint Trust (FCT).

Operations at Yishun 10 are anticipated to stop on March 2, 2027, to make way for the new development.

Situated beside Yishun MRT Station and Yishun Integrated Transport Hub, the project is going to also be linked to neighbouring shopping mall Northpoint City through the occurring underground pedestrian link.

Placemaking consultant Studio Lapis will lead the project, which will also determine chances to include components from Yishun 10 in the new plan.

Last year, Frasers Property settled its ownership in Yishun 10, acquiring the Golden Town cineplex from Hong Kong movie production company Orange Sky Golden Harvest Entertainment for $48 million, and the 10 strata lots from FCT for $34.5 million.
